Four years after leaving office in turmoil, Donald Trump is returning to the White House as the 47th President of the United States. The inauguration took place this evening (Monday) at 7:00 PM Israel time in the Capitol Rotunda, presided over by Chief Justice John Roberts.
Trump stated in his speech: “America’s golden age begins now. We will be the envy of all nations, and we will no longer be taken advantage of. I will put America first. From this moment onward, we will return to being the envy of the world; we will not be exploited, and we will be respected. From day one of this administration, I will simply put America first.”
The president further added: “We will reclaim our sovereignty and balance the scales of justice. We will end the use of the legal system as a political weapon. Our top priority is a nation that is wealthy, prosperous, and free. We will become a greater and more exceptional country than ever before. Our freedoms will not be curtailed, and we will restore the professionalism, competence, and loyalty of the American government. I have learned a lot from being tested. The journey to reclaim our country has not been easy. Those who seek to hinder us tried to take away my freedom and my life just a few months ago.”

Inauguration Moved Indoors Due to Weather Conditions
Originally planned to take place outdoors on Capitol Hill in front of approximately 250,000 spectators, the ceremony was moved indoors due to freezing weather conditions.
This marks the first time since 1985 that an inauguration was held indoors, with the audience limited to just 600 people. Millions of people worldwide watched the event live.

18 Inaugural Balls Held Across the City
The ceremony was be attended by several former U.S. presidents, including Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton, as well as foreign leaders such as Argentina’s President Javier Milei and Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. The event was highly secured by approximately 25,000 security personnel, and was accompanied by luxurious celebrations, including 18 inaugural balls throughout the city.
Trump’s inauguration day also featured the presence of America’s top internet tycoons, including Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Apple’s CEO, and, of course, Elon Musk. According to journalist Ariel Kahana, this marks a significant shift for Silicon Valley, which for years was associated with progressive values but is now aligning with Trump’s new administration.
Trump’s return to the White House marks a new era in American politics, focusing on dramatic shifts in both domestic and foreign policy. The powerful inauguration speech he delivered and upcoming initial actions are expected to set the tone for the seasoned president’s second term.
