Yossi Dagan: “Treat Samaria as a Frontline Region”
Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan called for a policy shift and a strong response:
“This is the third shooting attack in the same area in a short time—we need to overturn the table. This is not an isolated incident, but a well-organized and ongoing assault against Israeli communities and the Jewish people as a whole. The response must be clear: a broad military offensive against terror and its infrastructure.”
Dagan further emphasized: “Only the IDF should and must handle terrorism. The residents of Samaria fully support the IDF, but we demand a change in its military approach and clear answers. Immediate and decisive action is necessary to restore deterrence and security.”
Ariel Mayor Yair Shitbon: “Flatten Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nur al-Shams”
Ariel Mayor Yair Shitbon expressed support for the ongoing IDF operations in Samaria, stating:
“We commend the important IDF operation in Jenin, but there is no other way—terrorists fleeing from Tulkarm and Nur al-Shams must return to destroyed homes. There is no room to continue with surgical operations; I repeat my call to flatten the refugee camps in Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nur al-Shams.”
He reassured Ariel’s residents that life in the city would continue as usual: “At this stage, routine life in Ariel remains unaffected. We will not let the enemy ruin the Purim celebrations—festivities will proceed as planned. We will not allow vile terrorists to disrupt daily life. We stand with the IDF and security forces, ensuring safety while maintaining normalcy in our city and surrounding areas.”
