Stabbing Attack in Tel Aviv: Man Injured, Terrorist Neutralized at the Scene

28-year-old victim of the attack was conscious and transported to Ichilov Hospital in the city. The assailant, a 19-year-old from Tulkarm, was shot and eliminated. Senior paramedic Itai Atias: “We provided life-saving assistance immediately. He was responsive and speaking with us.”

A man was moderately wounded today (Saturday) in a stabbing attack on Mikveh Israel Street in the Levontin neighborhood of Tel Aviv. Paramedics treated the 28-year-old victim, who was conscious, and transported to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv. The assailant, Salah Yahya, 19, was an illegal resident from Tulkarm, and was shot and neutralized on the spot.

An initial investigation revealed that the knife-wielding attacker arrived in the restaurant area in Levontin and stabbed a man. An armed civilian nearby shot and eliminated the assailant. Tel Aviv District Police forces operated at the scene with the assistance of a police helicopter, and conducted extensive searches in the area. Tel Aviv District Commander Haim Sarga’rof conducted a situation assessment with officers at the site.

“He Was Responsive and Speaking With Us”
Senior Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedic Itai Atias said: “We arrived quickly with a large team and found a man in his late 20s lying on the road, fully conscious and suffering from a stab wound to his upper body. We immediately provided life-saving medical treatment. He was responsive and speaking with us. We placed him in the intensive care ambulance and transported him while continuing to provide medical care.”
