Public urged to follow safety instructions and avoid the area
Police and security forces are operating in coordination with local authorities, KKL-JNF (Jewish National Fund), and additional ground and aerial teams currently en route to the scene. Their goal is to contain the fire and prevent damage to nearby communities and open areas.

Israel Police emphasized that the public must follow the instructions of emergency personnel on site, avoid approaching the affected areas, and report any emergencies by calling the 100 hotline.

Extreme weather conditions across the country
Severe weather is expected across Israel today. From the afternoon hours, strong winds are forecast to intensify, peaking between late afternoon and evening, with gusts of 90–100 km/h blowing west to east. The winds are expected to begin in the south and coastal plain and gradually move toward the central and northern mountain regions.

Winds of this strength may cause damage to infrastructure and property, including the uprooting of trees, antennas, temporary fencing, and other structures.

Public safety guidelines and warnings

  • Follow weather forecasts and prepare accordingly
  • Secure installations, decorations, and temporary structures at events and ceremonies
  • Anchor loose objects that could be carried by strong winds, such as flower boxes, awnings, cables, and antennas
  • Use extra caution near trees, signs, and structures that may collapse
  • The use of any pyrotechnics (fireworks, etc.) is strictly prohibited, as they may spark fires
