On the day of the deadly Hamas attack, fighters from the Israel Police’s Enforcement Operations Coordination Manager (MTA) unit fought bravely and heroically at Kibbutz Be’eri, one of the central combat zones.
Hundreds of militants stormed the kibbutz, attempting to carry out a brutal massacre of the residents. The Israeli Police forces, equipped with two armored vehicles, engaged the militants, but during the fighting, their vehicles were damaged and the fighters inside were hit by gunfire, grenades, and anti-tank missiles.

The investigation of the battle was conducted thoroughly, aiming to draw lessons and commemorate the memory of the fallen. The investigation, which is covered under confidentiality by law, was presented to the bereaved families at the command of the police commissioner, with the goal of revealing to them the main details of the battle and its sequence.
Representatives of the police committed to drawing lessons and supporting the bereaved families. They stated that the investigation is part of the ongoing process to commemorate the bravery of the officers and fighters and to ensure that the results of the massacre and the battle are not forgotten.

In the deadly terror attack of October 7, 58 officers and fighters fell, sacrificing their lives while saving civilians and preventing the continuation of the attack. The Israel Police seeks to take this opportunity to embrace the bereaved families, stating that they will accompany the families while preserving the memory of the fallen and commemorating their bravery.
