Earlier today (Wednesday), the commander of the Southern Tactical Brigade in the Border Police, Chief Superintendent Eli Abutbul, together with the Head of the Police Weapons Department, Superintendent Meir Niddam, and the brigade commanders, presented Liel Bozokshvili, along with her family, with the personal weapon of the late Chief Superintendent Yitzhak Bozokshvili.

Yitzhak fell on October 7 while fighting terrorists during the terror attack. In his final hours, he fought heroically shoulder to shoulder with his daughter, Liel, a Border Police officer. Today, the family marks 11 months since his passing.

The phrase from Psalms, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me” is engraved on his personal weapon. From now on, Liel will carry her father’s weapon as her own personal firearm.
