The Iranian threat and the tense security situation led to the cancellation of many flights to Israel by foreign airlines.
The El Al company rallied for the benefit of the passengers and announced that: Anyone who purchased flight tickets until August 4 for flights scheduled to take off until August 17 (inclusive) will be able to cancel their tickets without cancellation fees and receive a voucher to redeem until December 31, 2025. The vouchers will be available for all types of the company’s tickets: LITE, CLASSIC and FLEX, and can be issued independently on the company’s website.
El Al announced the addition of flights and the increase of aircraft on existing flights at a uniform price, as well as the extension of the lenient cancellation policy – which was initially until August 10, for the benefit of Israeli passengers who were stuck abroad after canceling their flights. These changes were achieved thanks to the extraordinary efforts of El Al in coordination with the Chairman of the Economic Committee, the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Transport. Also, El Al continues to work in cooperation with the security and aviation authorities, and is committed to maintaining the air link between Israel and the world even in these challenging days.
