An attempted car-ramming attack occurred today (Sunday) near Ariel Junction in the Ephraim Brigade area. According to initial reports, two attackers were neutralized during the incident.

Preliminary details indicate that a vehicle, apparently without a license plate, attempted to breach the checkpoint in the area. IDF forces on the scene responded quickly, opening fire on the vehicle, resulting in the neutralization of the two attackers.

Following the incident, at least one person was reported injured. Medical teams were dispatched to the scene to provide medical care.

Magen David Adom (MDA) reported that a man sustained very minor injuries in the attack, and the two attackers were neutralized. Initial details suggest that the assailants’ vehicle was driving against traffic and attempted to ram into military posts at the location.

Adiel Agassi, head of the United Hatzalah branch in Ariel, along with medics Tidhar Chozeh and Noam Wagner, reported: “We provided initial assistance at the scene to a man around 40 years old who was lightly injured by shrapnel from the gunfire directed at the two attackers in the vehicle. We also provided assistance to a man and woman who were lightly affected by anxiety due to the nature of the incident and the sound of the gunfire.”

IDF forces were quickly deployed in the area following the event and are continuing to sweep the area to ensure there are no additional threats.

Security forces have launched a comprehensive investigation into the incident to clarify all the details and draw lessons to prevent similar events in the future.

The IDF is asking the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to security forces.

This is an initial report, and updates or changes in details may follow as the investigation progresses.
