16 Monkeys and 4 Lion Cubs Rescued
As of this morning, police forces and the Nature and Parks Authority have rescued 16 monkeys and four lion cubs found throughout the country, primarily in the Negev. Efforts to identify the suspects involved and to save animals held illegally will continue in the coming days. The Israel Police and Nature and Parks Authority would like to remind the public that keeping protected natural resources such as lions and monkeys in private breeding is prohibited and considered a serious offense.
