An extensive operation by the Border Guard: hundreds of illegal residents were arrested

The Border Guard arrested 688 illegal residents and 69 of people assisting them in the last week; Since the beginning of the year, over 15,000 have been caught.

The Border Guard (Magav) this week conducted an extensive operation to arrest illegal residents and their helpers across the country. During the operation, 688 illegal residents and 69 suspects of assisting them were arrested. Since the beginning of the operation, which began at the beginning of the year, over 15,000 illegal residents have been caught.

The operation, which was directed by Maj. Gen. Brik Yitzhak, includes the activity of all Border Guard forces, including special units, national tactical brigades, and the Investigations and Intelligence Division.

Among the most prominent events in the operation, in the passage of the tunnels in the outskirts of Jerusalem, three Palestinian women were caught trying to infiltrate Israel disguised as ultra-Orthodox women. In addition, in Tel Aviv, after a short chase, 19 illegal residents who tried to escape from the forces were arrested.

The segmentation of the arrests by regions:
– Jerusalem and surrounding Jerusalem: 431 illegal residents and 49 assisting.
– Center and Tel Aviv: 124 illegal residents and 5 assisting.
– North, South, coast and the seam route: 133 illegal residents and 15 assisting.
