Another blow to the Houthis: the US military destroyed an Iranian control station

US Central Command forces destroyed an Iranian-owned control station in Yemen. "This action was taken to protect freedom of navigation and make international waters safe," the US military said.

This morning (Friday) the US military announced that US Central Command forces destroyed an Iranian-owned control station in an area controlled by the Houthis in Yemen over the past 24 hours.

“This ground control station poses a clear and immediate threat to US, coalition forces and commercial vessels in the area. This action was taken to protect freedom of navigation and make international waters safer and more secure for US, coalition and commercial vessels,” the US military said “on.

This is the second time this week that the Houthis have suffered such a blow. Last Monday it was reported in Al Mayadin that American and British forces carried out attacks on the island of Kamran in Hodeidah province which is under Houthi control.
