Officers from the Bnei Brak–Ramat Gan police station arrested an illegal resident, a Gazan Arab, who impersonated an Israeli citizen using a forged biometric ID card and was employed by a cleaning company at a supermarket in Ramat Gan.
Following the investigation, the Tel Aviv District Police Prosecution Unit filed an indictment against the suspect.
51 Years Old, Resident of Gaza
The disturbing report was received at the police dispatch center on April 20, alerting authorities to an illegal resident using a forged identity card while working as a cleaner at a supermarket on Herzl Street in Ramat Gan.

Police officers arrived at the scene and confirmed the report: the man was indeed residing illegally in Israel.
They arrested the suspect, a 51-year-old Arab resident of Gaza, who was brought in for questioning and subsequently imprisoned.

Routine Security Inspection Leads to the Arrest
According to the investigation, the suspect was hired after presenting what appeared to be a valid ID card to a manpower company.
He then began working as a cleaner at the supermarket. During a routine inspection conducted by the chain’s security officer, it was discovered that the worker was, in fact, an illegal resident.
Following the completion of the investigation, the Tel Aviv District Police Prosecution Unit filed an indictment against the suspect.
He faces charges of unlawful entry and residence in Israel, use of a forged document with intent to obtain benefits, and impersonation of another person with intent to defraud.
The police have submitted a request for his detention until the end of legal proceedings.
