Overnight (Wednesday to Thursday), IDF forces eliminated a terrorist who threw explosive devices at fighters from the Nahal Reconnaissance Unit in the Jenin area, in the village of Silat al-Harithiya. Two additional terrorists were wounded. The incident was part of an ongoing operation to dismantle terror infrastructure in northern Samaria, led by the IDF, the ISA (Shin Bet), and the Israel Police.

The incident occurred during a nighttime counterterror operation, when Nahal Recon Unit soldiers encountered several terrorists who attacked them with explosive devices. The troops responded with precise fire, eliminating one terrorist, wounding two others, and completing the mission without any injuries among Israeli forces.

During the night, security forces also arrested eight additional wanted individuals and confiscated two improvised “Carlo”-type submachine guns. All detainees and seized items were transferred to the Shin Bet and the Samaria and Judea District Police for further investigation and handling.

The security establishment emphasized: “We will continue to act with all necessary means to thwart terrorism — for the safety of Israel’s citizens.”
