Explosives and Bomb-Making Materials Uncovered
According to the investigation, the teen had sworn allegiance multiple times to ISIS and its current leader. Authorities believe he intended to carry out an attack in the Menashe region, likely using explosives.
During a raid on the suspect’s home, security forces discovered documents detailing how to manufacture explosives and improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The arrest and investigation were conducted by the Israel Police Coastal District in coordination with the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency). The evidence collected led to a serious indictment filed by the Haifa District Prosecutor’s Office, along with a request to hold the suspect in custody until the end of legal proceedings.
“Zero Tolerance for Terror—Even from Israeli Citizens”
A senior police official stated: “The arrest of this minor, who was planning a terror attack, is the result of accurate intelligence and a swift operational response. Anyone who chooses the path of terrorism will be caught, arrested, and prosecuted. We will not allow any harm to come to Israeli citizens.”
The Shin Bet also expressed concern: “This is a serious case that adds to a growing number of Israeli citizens arrested for planning attacks or spying for terrorist organizations. This is a disturbing trend, and the security services will respond with full force against those involved.”
