Media outlets associated with the Houthi rebels in Yemen report that the U.S. Air Force launched strikes today (Sunday) early morning in Sa’ada, in the northern part of Yemen. The strikes are part of U.S. policy towards Yemen in recent days and a response to missile launches from the country towards Israel.

Aircraft Carrier Carl Vinson
Yesterday, U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth ordered two American aircraft carriers to remain in the Middle East region. According to reports in U.S. media, the aircraft carrier Harry Truman and its strike group will continue to stay in the area, and the Carl Vinson will now join it, arriving from the far east.

F-47 Fighter Jets
Additionally, over the past weekend, the United States unveiled the F-47, its new fighter jet developed in secrecy. During the reveal of the F-47, President Trump stated, “Nothing in the world even comes close to this,” asserting that “America’s enemies will never see it coming.” Furthermore, the aircraft will not be sold to foreign countries, including Israel, meaning that even the advanced F-35 currently in the Air Force will lag behind the capabilities of the new aircraft.

The Aircraft Taking Air Combat to the Next Level
The F-47 is expected to push the air combat capabilities to new heights: extreme high speed, vast operational ranges, integration of autonomous drones that will engage alongside the aircraft, and AI capabilities integrated into helmets and flight systems.

The helmet will not only display flight data and threats but will also monitor the pilot’s health in real time, tailor itself to each pilot, and act almost as an additional officer in the cockpit.

U.S. Message to Israel
As early as Thursday, following missile fire from Yemen, the United States conveyed a message to Israel: “We will handle the Houthi threat; let us lead the operation.” This statement is part of the U.S. strategy to increase pressure on Iran, which is seen as continuing to provide support to the Houthis, as reported by journalist Hallel Biton Rosen.
