Even today (Sunday), after more than eleven months of fighting, the IDF continues to strike with force, aiming to destroy terrorist organizations. In the Gaza sector, the Air Force attacked a Hamas command complex, cruelly concealed within a school building.
As a reminder, last week, the IDF eliminated three senior Hamas officials operating from the humanitarian area in Khan Yunis. Hamas’s use of the Gazan population as a shield and cover has been known for years, including the assassination of one of Hamas’s most prominent leaders in recent years, Mohammed Deif, which was also carried out while he was hiding within a humanitarian zone.
Regarding the Gaza strike, the IDF spokesperson stated: “Air Force fighter jets attacked, with precision and intelligence guidance from Military Intelligence, the Shin Bet, and Southern Command, a Hamas command and control complex that was established in an area that previously served as the ‘Aazi al-Shawa’ school in Beit Hanoun.

“The command and control complex served the terrorists as a hiding place and preparation for launching anti-tank missiles towards IDF forces and the State of Israel in recent weeks. Before the attack, many measures were taken to minimize the risk of harming civilians, including the use of precise munitions, aerial observations, and additional intelligence.”
The IDF spokesperson emphasized the violations of international law and the exploitation of Gaza’s civilians for terrorist activities, adding, “The IDF will continue to operate with strength and determination against terrorist organizations using schools and civilian institutions as shelters.”
In footage released today (Sunday) by the IDF spokesperson, showing the strike target in southern Lebanon, rockets can be clearly seen firing from the launcher after it was hit.
The IDF spokesperson said: “Fighter jets attacked several launchers, including a loaded and ready-to-launch Hezbollah launcher in the Rasheya al-Fakhar area in southern Lebanon. Following the strike on the launcher, secondary explosions were identified, indicating the presence of rockets in the targeted launcher.”
