While Hamas Deliberate the Deal, IDF Pounds the Terrorists in Gaza

Amid negotiations for a hostage release deal, reports from Gaza overnight indicate IDF airstrikes in the Khan Younis area.

Destruction of Tunnels
Forces from the Kfir Brigade Combat Team, under the command of Division 36, are currently operating in southern Khan Younis. As part of the activity in the area, the soldiers, in cooperation with Yahalom forces, raided a central and branched underground junction identified in the Khan Younis area, which contained several tunnels used by terror organizations in the Strip.

In a separate operation, an underground route approximately 2.5 kilometers long and 39 meters deep was located and destroyed. The route connected the Khan Younis area with the Rafah area.

Closure
Last week in the Khan Younis area, an Israeli Air Force aircraft struck and eliminated  the terrorists Mu’taz Yasser Abdallah Galban and Abd al-Latif Musa Hajaj Barbakh from the Hamas terror organization.

The terrorists were involved in the killing of seven soldiers: Lt. Matan Shai Yashinovsky, Staff Sgt. Alon Davidov, Staff Sgt. Ronel Ben-Moshe, Staff Sgt. Niv Redia, Sgt. Ronen Shapiro, Sgt. Shahar Manoav, and Sgt. Maayan Baruch Perlstein, of blessed memory, on June 24, 2025, in Khan Younis.

The IDF and ISA will continue to act forcefully and determinedly against all terror organizations in the Gaza Strip.
