Two Brothers Arrested in Bethlehem for Stockpiling Knives, Clubs, and Axes

Border Police forces operating in Judea and Samaria arrested two Palestinians yesterday (Sunday) on suspicion of possessing and trafficking weapons and assault tools in Bethlehem. The raid was carried out in coordination with the Intelligence Division of the Border Police and the Etzion Brigade. Over 1,000 weapons-related items were discovered, concealed inside household appliances that were packaged and ready for shipment.

On-Site Arrest – Large Weapons Cache Seized
The troops, acting on precise intelligence, spotted one of the suspects carrying a suspicious object on his person. After quickly overpowering him, they found a knife hidden in his waistband. He was immediately taken into custody.

A search of the suspects’ home revealed hundreds of items, including knives, clubs, axes, and additional weapons believed to have been intended for use in terror attacks. Some of the weapons were discovered concealed inside carefully packed appliances, disguised as ordinary parcels prepared for delivery.

The Suspects – Brothers from Bethlehem
The detainees are two brothers, aged 25 and 17, residents of Bethlehem. They were transferred for further questioning by the Border Police Investigations Unit in Judea and Samaria.

Police Praise the Operation
Police commended the work of the troops and emphasized that the swift and precise operation averted a serious threat to public safety. “We will continue to operate consistently and with determination to safeguard the citizens of Israel,” the Border Police said in a statement.
