The IDF has begun crushing and leveling the ruins of buildings in the Gaza Strip, in an effort to prevent Hamas terrorists from using the debris as cover or observation posts, journalist Yinon Magal reported Wednesday.
According to the report, this move is part of a renewed ground maneuver strategy, aimed at allowing Israeli forces to move more safely through combat zones.

A Critical Stage in the Fighting
The decision follows growing concerns that terrorists are exploiting ruined structures for concealment, planting explosives, and launching surprise attacks on IDF troops. The rubble is being flattened with heavy engineering equipment in areas that have already been cleared of civilians.

This is a broad and systematic operation that is expected to expand as the ground maneuver progresses. The IDF views this as a critical stage in the campaign—one intended to deny the enemy any possible tactical advantage in the battlefield environment.

115 Targets Struck
Earlier today, the IDF announced that over the past 24 hours, the Israeli Air Force had struck more than 115 targets across the Gaza Strip. Among the targets: rocket launchers, military buildings, tunnels, terrorist squads, and other terror-related infrastructure.
At the same time, Israeli Navy forces carried out strikes in coordination with ground troops against terror targets in the northern part of the Strip.
