In response to Donald Trump’s recent statements regarding his intention to evacuate Gaza’s population and develop the territory economically, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz instructed the IDF this morning (Thursday) to prepare a plan that would offer Gaza residents the option to leave voluntarily.

Plan to Include Land, Air, and Sea Departure Options
Katz praised the initiative proposed by the former U.S. president, which calls for the evacuation of most Gazan residents to reduce public support for Hamas, followed by economic investment in the region. “The plan will include exit options via land crossings and special arrangements for departure by sea and air,” Katz explained. He also challenged nations that have criticized Israel’s military actions in Gaza, stating: “Countries that have accused Israel over its operations in Gaza are legally obligated to allow any Gazan resident to enter their territory.”

Netanyahu on Gaza Evacuation: “The First Good Idea I’ve Heard”
Speaking on Fox News, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed strong support for Trump’s proposal, which envisions U.S.-led economic development in Gaza after the evacuation of its population. “It’s a brilliant idea,” Netanyahu said enthusiastically.

The prime minister also praised Trump’s unwavering support for Israel, calling him “the best friend Israel has ever had in the White House.” Netanyahu elaborated: “What’s wrong with allowing Gazans to leave if they want to rebuild Gaza? They can leave, return, or move elsewhere. This is the first good idea I’ve heard. It’s a brilliant idea. I think we should seriously examine it and implement it—because it can create a better future for everyone.”
