“I am Agam Berger. I was held captive by Hamas in Gaza for 482 days,” opens Agam Berger, former IDF border surveillance soldier in a video shared by former U.S. President Donald Trump on his social media platform, Truth Social. “I want to take this opportunity to thank you, President Trump, from the bottom of my heart, for everything you have done and continue to do for all the hostages. Thanks to you, we have returned home.”

Berger was released in the third phase of the current hostage deal, along with her four fellow IDF border surveillance soldiers from the Nahal Oz outpost – Karina Ariev, Liri Albag, Daniella Gilboa, and Naama Levy. The five have become a symbol of unity, resilience, and hope among the Israeli people.

“Do not stop until all the hostages are home…You are their hope”
In addition to thanking Trump, Berger also expressed gratitude to several key figures, most notably Jay Schottenstein and Robert H. Book, founders of the ‘Israel’s Fallen Heroes Fund’ which supports the families of Israel’s soldiers who fell in battle. Schottenstein, CEO of American Eagle, is well known in religious circles for his sponsorship of an extensive Talmud commentary.
Berger concluded her video with a direct plea to Trump, urging him to continue pushing for the release of the remaining hostages: “We must remember that there are still people there who are truly relying on you, waiting for you to save them. They are hoping that you will help them, and you have the power to do it. I am truly asking you – do not stop until all the hostages are home, both the living and the dead, and bring them back as soon as possible. You are their hope.”
The Goal – One Million Acts of Kindness
Berger’s video to Trump is not the only one to have gained widespread attention recently. Just yesterday, she shared a special video promoting the ‘One Million Acts of Kindness’ initiative, launched by ‘Moment of Wisdom.’ The project encourages increased acts of kindness to foster unity among the people and support the efforts to achieve victory and bring the hostages home. So far, tens of thousands of good deeds have been carried out thanks to the initiative, with many more to come.
