Freed hostages Doron Steinbrecher, Eli Sharabi, Naama Levy, Iair Horn, Omer Shem Tov, Noa Argamani and Keith and Aviva Siegel met last night (Wednesday) with President Donald Trump and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff at the White House. They expressed their gratitude to the president and his envoy for their efforts in securing their release from Hamas captivity and shared firsthand accounts of the urgent need to bring home the remaining 59 hostages—both the living for rehabilitation and the fallen for a proper burial.
“They Made the Deal Possible”
Freed hostage Eli Sharabi said upon arrival: “Today, we came to the White House as survivors of captivity to ensure that the remaining 59 hostages are freed in a deal as soon as possible. Thank you, President Trump and Mr. Witkoff, for your commitment to this cause.”
Freed hostage Keith Siegel added, “They made the deal possible and brought us all home. We urge them to continue their tremendous efforts. They have already done so much. We trust them and know they will finish the mission and bring back the 59 hostages still in Gaza to their families, back to Israel. Thank you, President Trump. Thank you, Mr. Steve Witkoff, and thank you to the entire Trump administration.”
President Trump’s Message to Hamas
Following the meeting, the U.S. president posted a message to Hamas on his social media platform “TruthSocial”, warning them to release all hostages or it would be over for them.
“Only sick and twisted people keep bodies” he continued. “I am sending Israel everything it needs to finish the job, not a single Hamas member will be safe if you don’t do as I say. I have just met with your former Hostages whose lives you have destroyed. This is your last warning! For the leadership, now is the time to leave Gaza, while you still have a chance. Also, to the People of Gaza: A beautiful Future awaits, but not if you hold Hostages. If you do, you are dead! Make a smart decision.
Release the hostages now, or there will be hell to pay later!
In response, the Hamas terrorist organization stated: “Trump’s threats are yet another example of the American government’s insistence on participating in the genocide against our people.”
“Whoever Saves One Life, Saves an Entire World”
During the meeting, President Trump was presented with a gold plaque inscribed with the words, “Whoever saves one life, saves an entire world.”
Omer Shem Tov told the American president that he and his family believe Trump was sent by God to free them: “You can truly help, you have the power to do it.”
Naama Levy added: “You gave us hope while we were there.”
The president then asked: “So before I came, you didn’t think you would be freed?”
The freed hostages replied: “No, no,” and Naama Levy elaborated: “The moment you were elected, we heard that you wanted to do everything possible to reach a deal as soon as possible.”
Eli Sharabi told him: “We were so happy. Please, do it again.”
