In honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day, U.S. President Donald Trump issued a special letter overnight (Wednesday to Thursday), reaffirming America’s commitment to remembering the horrors of the Holocaust and to confronting the resurgence of antisemitism.
“Anti-Semitism has no place in a civilized society”
“We cherish the eternal memories of all those whose lives were lost to the deadly scourge of anti-Semitism,” President Trump wrote.
He continued, “our Nation has borne witness to the worst outbreak of anti-Semitism on American soil in generations,” and noted that “nearly every day following the deadly October 7, 2023, attack on Israel, Jewish Americans were threatened on our streets and in our public square.”

Trump stressed that his administration is “proudly upholding the basic truth that anti-Semitism has no place in a civilized society,” and pointed to efforts to combat antisemitism on college campuses and in universities.
“Above all,” he declared, “we vow to never forget the atrocities of the Holocaust. We declare that never again means now.”
“We turned the tables”
Last night, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke at the opening ceremony of Holocaust Remembrance Day events at the Yad Vashem museum in Jerusalem. Referring directly to the October 7 attacks, Netanyahu said: “Those who feared another Holocaust saw that we turned the tables.”
He made clear that Israel remains determined to maintain military pressure on Hamas until all its objectives are achieved—chief among them, returning the hostages and defeating terrorism.

A global call to action: “We will not let up until victory”
Netanyahu also looked beyond Israel’s borders, addressing the threat posed by Iran. He vowed: “We will prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.”
He emphasized that Israel will not give in to political pressure or external decisions, and pledged to act against those who harmed the Jewish people: “We will not let up until victory. We will hold the barbarians accountable.”
