Argentine President Javier Milei will arrive in Israel at the end of March and deliver a speech in the Knesset plenum. Milei, one of the most pro-Israel leaders in the world, accepted an invitation from Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana, which was extended after their meeting at the presidential palace in Argentina last September. This was first reported Sunday by Channel 14. Milei’s visit is taking place alongside a series of additional diplomatic visits expected in Israel, including senior officials from the U.S. Democratic Party.

Unprecedented Support for Israel
Milei is known for his strong and open support for Israel on the international stage. He has instructed his representatives in international institutions to vote in favor of Israel and appointed Rabbi Axel Wahnish as Argentina’s ambassador to Israel. During the “Iron Swords” war, Milei was one of the most vocal public supporters of Israel. The connection between Milei and Ohana is also reflected in their ideological partnership, with an emphasis on free-market economic principles and regulatory reduction.

Series of High-Level Visits Expected in Israel
In addition to Milei’s visit, a series of diplomatic visits to Israel is expected to take place starting in mid-March, primarily from senior members of the U.S. Democrat Party. Among the visitors are Senator John Fetterman from Pennsylvania,  Governor of New Jersey Phil Murphy, Congressman Hakeem Jeffries, the House Democratic Minority Leader, and newly elected Congresswoman Laura Gillen. The visits will be led by Israel’s Consul in New York, Ofir Akunis, who is also responsible for New Jersey.
