Three boys, Elkana, Shachar, and Amit, arrived on Purim evening in the area where a citizen named Aryeh Ackerman lives in northern Israel, not as part of a trip or outing, but from pure intent to volunteer and assist. Without prior coordination, an organization, or a structured framework, they boarded a bus in search of a place where they could help the residents of the North.
When they met Aryeh, he directed them to an elderly neighbor’s garden, who was struggling and needed help to return to her routine. The three immediately jumped in, took up their tools, and got to work in the garden. The neighbor, who found it difficult to manage the place alone, was moved to tears and told them, “You came to me from heaven.”

Many highlighted the inspiration in their actions, especially considering they chose to dedicate their free time to helping others. “On Purim evening, when everyone is celebrating and having fun, they chose to go out and give of themselves, there are no words.” Others noted how such gestures strengthen the sense of mutual responsibility: “This act proves there is great light in our land.”
