IDF Strikes in Lebanon in Response to Rocket Fire
In response to rocket attacks on Kiryat Shmona, the IDF launched airstrikes against Hezbollah targets before the start of the Jewish Shabbat. Among the targets hit were a UAV storage facility in Dahiya, Beirut, and several other locations in southern Lebanon. The IDF also issued an urgent evacuation notice to residents prior to the strikes.

Hamas Releases New Footage of Hostage Elkana Bohbot
The Hamas terror organization released a new video this evening (Saturday) featuring hostage Elkana Bohbot. Last week, footage was also published showing him alongside fellow hostage Yosef Chaim Ohana. Both have been held captive by Hamas for 540 days.

Hamas Sets Conditions for Ceasefire Proposal
Hamas has informed mediators that it would agree to release up to five hostages, both living and deceased, in exchange for renewing the ceasefire until after Passover. However, the terror organization demands a prior commitment to negotiations on a permanent ceasefire. Reports indicate that Israel refuses to accept Hamas’ demands as long as hostages remain in captivity and the organization maintains its military capabilities in Gaza.
Meanwhile, Israel is advancing the Witkoff framework, which proposes the gradual release of 10 out of the remaining 24 hostages still held by Hamas.

Trump’s Letter to Khamenei
Around three weeks ago, former U.S. President Donald Trump revealed that he had sent a letter to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, emphasizing: “Iran must not acquire nuclear weapons.” Today, the Arabic-language ‘Sky News’ network published excerpts from the letter, in which Trump proposed opening “a new chapter of cooperation and mutual respect” with Iran.
Ohad Ben Ami’s First Testimony: ‘We Were Left Without Air’
Survivor of Hamas captivity, Ohad Ben Ami, who returned home a month and a half ago, spoke on an Israeli tv program about his ordeal: “We were six people in a tunnel, 30 meters underground, surrounded by six meters of concrete and sand – without air to breathe.” He added, “We slept in cramped conditions on a thin, damp, and wet mattress, using the same blanket as a sheet for over a year.”

The Hostages and Missing Families Forum responded to reports of Egypt’s proposal, which includes the partial release of hostages, with a clear statement: “We will welcome the return of any hostage—whether for rehabilitation or burial—but the proposed framework is insufficient and does not provide a complete solution for bringing everyone home.”
