In a precision counterterrorism operation carried out overnight (Tuesday to Wednesday) in the village of Tamun, under the Menashe Regional Brigade, fighters from Yamam (Israel’s elite counterterrorism unit), the IDF, and the ISA (Shin Bet) eliminated the leader of a local terror cell. He had been responsible for planning and carrying out attacks against Israeli security forces and civilians.

Following his elimination, the forces swiftly moved to locate two other terrorists, who were hiding in a safehouse in the village. The two were arrested and transferred to the Shin Bet for further questioning.

The IDF and Shin Bet emphasized that counterterrorism operations are ongoing and that they will continue tracking terrorist operatives to thwart any threat to the State of Israel.
“The fight against terrorism is continuous,” said officials in the security establishment. “We will do everything necessary to ensure the safety of Israeli citizens.”

As a reminder, over the previous weekend, IDF, Shin Bet, and Israel Police forces from the Judea and Samaria District operated across Jthe region to arrest wanted suspects and seize weapons. During the operation, 35 suspects were arrested, and weapons, military gear, and terror funds were confiscated.
