Since Israel resumed attacks in the Gaza Strip as part of Operation ‘Swords of Iron,’ the IDF and Shin Bet have targeted dozens of terror sites and Hamas terrorists throughout the Gaza Strip. The attacks included a focus on mid-level commanders and senior figures in the political wing of the Hamas terror organization, with the goal of harming Hamas’s military and governance capabilities and eliminating the threat to the State of Israel and its citizens.
Hamas Prime Minister and Senior Government Figure in Gaza Eliminated
In the strikes, the Hamas Prime Minister and the highest-ranking political figure in the Gaza Strip terrorist Essam Dib Abdullah al-Dalais was eliminated. He had replaced Ruchi Mishtaha in the role, who had been eliminated in July 2024.
As part of his role, al-Dalais was responsible for the functioning of the terror governance of the Hamas organization in the Gaza Strip, overseeing all of the organization’s sectors and their use for terrorist activities.
At this stage, it can be highly confirmed based on the information in the possession of the IDF and Shin Bet that the following senior terrorists were eliminated in strikes over the last 24 hours:
– Bahjat Abu Sultan, Director-General of the Ministry of Interior Security
– Mahmoud Abu Watfa, Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Interior
– Ahmed al-Khattah, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Justice
– Mohammad al-Jamasi, Member of Hamas’s Political Bureau
– Issam al-Dalais, Head of the Labor Monitoring Department in the Government
– Yasser Harb, Member of Hamas’s Political Bureau
Additional High-Ranking Officials Taken Out
According to Palestinian reports, the Director-General of the Ministry of Justice and the Director-General of the Ministry of Interior Security were also eliminated during the night. Later in the afternoon, the Saudi channel Al-Hadath reported that Abu Hamza, spokesperson for the military wing of the Islamic Jihad, was also eliminated in an IDF airstrike along with his family. Sources told the channel that an Islamic Jihad senior official named Hassan al-Na’am Abu Ali was also killed in a strike in the Khan Yunis area. Islamic Jihad has officially confirmed his elimination.
