Search for Terrorist Continues, Engineering Forces Clear Terrain

Engineering units are conducting ground clearing operations near Route 446 to facilitate the ongoing search and enhance security in the area, making it safer.

IDF forces continued today (Friday) their efforts to locate the terrorist responsible for the shooting attack earlier this week near Bruchin. As part of the operational activities, engineering units are performing ground clearing near Route 446 to facilitate the search and enhance security in the area.

The engineering operation involves clearing terrain, removing obstacles, and exposing areas that might conceal terrorist movements. The goal is to make the area safer and more accessible for the forces while reducing hiding opportunities for the terrorist.

Elimination of Five Terrorists in Tamun
Simultaneously with the manhunt, operational activities continue in nearby villages within the Menashe Brigade area. Yesterday, Duvdevan fighters and Border Police undercover units conducted focused operations in the villages of Tamun and Tubas, guided by the ISA (Shin Bet). During the mission, IDF forces raided two buildings used by local terror operatives.

During the operation, the forces identified several armed terrorists barricaded inside a building. After intense exchanges of fire, including the use of shoulder-fired missiles at the structure, the forces eliminated five terrorists and captured another. The building contained a large cache of weapons, including three M-16 rifles and four tactical vests.

Three Armed Terrorists Arrested
In a parallel operation, Border Police undercover units arrested three more armed terrorists in Tubas. During the searches, the forces found six M-16 rifles, a handgun, a grenade, and additional combat equipment. Pipe bombs ready for use were also discovered inside the building.

No Casualties Among IDF Forces
Fortunately, no IDF personnel were injured during the operations in Tamun and Tubas. All the weapons and detained terrorists were transferred to the Judea and Samaria District Police and the ISA for further investigation.
