A report was received yesterday (Tuesday) at MDA’s 101 hotline about a man in distress due to an allergic reaction at the University train station in Tel Aviv. Moshe Chaim Cohen, an Israel Railways security guard and MDA volunteer paramedic, was on site and used an EpiPen from the station’s available medical kit.
Testimony of the Life-Saving Guard
“I was on the scene and immediately recognized signs of a severe allergic attack,” Cohen recounted. “I administered the medication, and the man’s condition improved within minutes. MDA teams transported him to Ichilov Hospital in stable condition.”

The incident highlights the importance of having EpiPens available at train stations and the awareness of staff in emergency situations. Cohen urged the public to learn first aid: “The EpiPen saves lives, and I encourage everyone to learn first aid to know how to respond in emergencies.”
