Major Israeli Strikes and Warning to Iran
Israeli fighter jets launched a new wave of precision strikes deep into western Iran, targeting air defense systems and infrastructure around Shiraz and Tehran. Defense Minister Israel Katz, visiting the Israeli Air Force’s underground command center, praised the forces: “No air force in the world is capable of what you are doing now over Iranian skies.”
Katz issued a direct warning to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei following Israel’s battlefield achievements and the elimination of General Ali Shadmani. “We are striking with force. Residents of Tehran should evacuate areas that are likely targets,” he warned.

Dramatic Kill in Tehran: Iranian Military Chief Eliminated
The IDF confirmed the death of Iran’s wartime Chief of Staff, General Ali Shadmani, in a targeted airstrike in Tehran. Shadmani had been appointed following the assassination of his predecessor in the opening hours of the campaign. He was known to be the top operational figure in Iran’s military and closely linked to Supreme Leader Khamenei.
For the second time in 5 days— the IDF has eliminated Iran’s War-Time Chief of Staff, the regime’s top military commander.

Israel Under Fire, Most Missiles Intercepted
Throughout the day, Iran launched dozens of missiles and drones toward Israel. The majority were intercepted by air defense systems, though several impacts were reported, including in Herzliya and Haifa. In one instance, a missile strike caused a fire in a bus depot; the bus, which was empty, was destroyed. Several civilians were injured while attempting to reach shelters.
A naval vessel, INS Independence of the Sa’ar 6 class, successfully intercepted nearly 20 unmanned aerial vehicles launched toward Israel’s coastline. In the north, fighter jets downed a drone that had entered from the direction of Iran.

International Reactions: Germany and Russia Speak Out
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz issued a stark warning, stating that if Iran does not halt its nuclear program, its complete destruction will be on the table—an objective Israel cannot achieve alone.
Meanwhile, a report by Bloomberg revealed that Russia has no intention of aiding Iran militarily. Kremlin insiders reportedly said that Russia will not act as a mediator, especially if regime change in Tehran is part of Israel’s goals.
And US President Trump has been staunchly supportive, posting earlier on Truth Social: “We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran. Iran had good sky trackers and other defensive equipment, and plenty of it, but it doesn’t compare to American made, conceived, and manufactured “stuff.” Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA.”

Diplomatic Front: Israel Defends Its Case
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar continued his global outreach, emphasizing that Israel’s actions are necessary for regional and global security. In interviews with BFMTV, CNN, Rai1, and others, he warned that Iran is “a threat not just to Israel, but to the world order and Western civilization.”
Human Cost and Civilian Resilience
Three Israeli civilians were killed in a missile strike on oil refineries in Haifa. Among the victims were Igor Fredkin of Kiryat Ata and the couple Yaakov and Dasi Blue from Petah Tikva.

Rescue flights are expected to begin the following day, and the Health Ministry reported over 150 people received treatment overnight, mostly for minor injuries and shock. The Interior Ministry opened emergency warehouses to distribute sleeping kits to municipalities for displaced residents.
Gaza Front: Ground Incursion in Jabalia
In parallel to the northern campaign, IDF forces deepened their ground operation in Gaza. Brigade 162 entered the Jabalia area as part of the expanded Merkavot Gidon operation. Givati troops destroyed multiple launchers, terror tunnels, and eliminated dozens of terrorists.
A tragic casualty was reported: Sergeant First Class Naveh Leshem, 20, from Nokdim, a Golani Brigade soldier, was killed when a roadside bomb struck his armored vehicle. Ten others were injured in the incident.
Strategic Strikes and Regional Ramifications
According to the Atomic Energy Agency, a direct hit was confirmed at Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility, affecting underground enrichment halls. Iran, facing pressure on all fronts, announced plans to invite foreign diplomats to tour nuclear sites—likely a desperate bid to deter future strikes.

Despite Iran’s calls for de-escalation, global powers are increasingly aligning with Israel’s strategic objectives. Even the U.S. administration, while maintaining discretion, affirmed President Trump’s position: “Iran will not have a nuclear weapon—this commitment remains firm.”
The IDF, meanwhile, issued a clear message: “We are deepening our strikes on all components of Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. Both in scope and geography.”
