The IDF has invited reservists to participate in a unique costume contest in the spirit of Purim and the IDF: “Purimiluim.” The contest, which will take place from March 9 to March 14, offers reservists the opportunity to dress up, take photos, and upload their pictures to the contest website, with every participant receiving a gift voucher.

The contest is open to reservists who have completed at least 60 days of reserve duty.

The IDF emphasizes that the contest is available to reservists who have completed at least 60 days of frontline service or 100 days of reserve duty in rear positions during the “Swords of Iron” war . The costumes should be related to an IDF theme and reflect the spirit of the military with creativity, humor, or a tribute to military heritage.

How Does It Work?
In the coming days, a link to the official website will be sent out, where participants can upload pictures and receive the gift voucher. In the meantime, the IDF recommends starting preparations and thinking about original and funny ideas that combine the spirit of Purim with IDF values.

Creative Costumes
As part of the contest, soldiers are dressing up in creative costumes such as Invisible Warriors, or even Combat Boots. The goal is to create a festive and playful atmosphere among the reservists, honor their contribution to national security, and create a cohesive and joyous community even after challenging times.

Purimiluim is not just a costume contest; it’s also a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the spirit of volunteering and giving back to reservists. The IDF notes that this is a small but significant tribute to those who have dedicated many days for the security of the state, and they look forward to seeing the amazing and funny costumes uploaded to the site.

For anyone meeting the criteria and wishing to participate, now is the time to start thinking about the perfect costume and prepare for a colorful and joyful celebration.
