Three days ago, comedian and social activist Hanoch Daum shared a post about a reservist’s pizzeria, and yesterday the reservist sent a heartfelt thank-you message: “It’s all thanks to you.”
“Please Share This with the People of Israel”
Daum wrote: “Residents of Ra’anana and the surrounding area – here’s a pizzeria you’ll all be visiting soon!” It all began when Daum received a message from the wife of the reservist:
“Hi Hanoch, before the war, my husband planned to open a Neapolitan pizzeria in Shlomi, a town in the Northern District of Israel. But after a long evacuation and over 400 days of reserve duty defending our home, that dream was set aside. After changing plans, he opened a pizzeria specializing in sourdough this week – in collaboration with suppliers from the north (and of course, the dream to open in the north is still alive).”
She continued: “He took a dough-making course in Italy, made sure everything is of the highest quality, fresh, and special, and put his heart into it. The food is exceptionally delicious. The place is kosher, named Rona Pizza Club, and located at 3 Ben Gurion Street, Ra’anana. We are new to the area, and it’s hard to spread the word. We would really appreciate it if you could share this with the people of Israel – we promise a once-in-a-lifetime pizza and a warm hug.”

“I Ran Out of Dough Two Days in a Row”
Yesterday, amid the news of the fallen soldiers Sergeant Yishai Elyakim Urbach and Staff Sergeant Yam Frid, the comedian Daum wrote:
“On this sad morning, I take some comfort from the love our people show, time and again, by rallying around reservists with overwhelming support.”
In his post, he included a message from Sagiv, the reservist and owner of the Ra’anana pizzeria:
“Dear Hanoch, first of all, I want to thank you. You have no idea how much power you hold. In a single moment, you changed everything for us. Hundreds of people came to the pizzeria. I’ve reached the point where I ran out of dough two days in a row and can’t keep up with the demand. It’s all thanks to you. You’re doing something incredible with these posts, and I just wanted to say thank you.”
