British- Israeli Emily Damari endured an almost unimaginable trauma. After being abducted from the kibbutz of Kfar Aza on October 7 and held under harsh conditions by Hamas terrorists, she was finally freed and reunited with her family. However, her journey toward rebuilding her life has only begun.
A particularly emotional moment took place on Monday when philanthropist Shai Graucher, known since the outbreak of the “Swords of Iron” war for his innovative ideas to support and raise spirits across the Jewish nation, surprised Emily with an extraordinary gift: a luxury BMW car.

“I’m Shaking” – Emily’s Emotional Reaction
Emily could hardly contain her emotions at the heartfelt gesture and said with excitement, “I have no words, I’m shaking.” Despite the surprise, she did not forget those still in captivity and added with sorrow, “I just want everyone to come home.”

The Man Behind the Car: “We’ve Only Just Begun”
Shai Graucher is a social entrepreneur and founder of the ‘Together We Win’ organization, dedicated to strengthening the Israeli community and society. His organization provides aid to those in need, former captives, and bereaved families. Among the myriad organizations and volunteers that answered the call to aid and support the country in the aftermath of October 7, Graucher stood out for his enthusiasm and novel ideas, including bringing mobile ‘laundry-machine-trucks’ to the battlefield and setting up pampering spa complexes for soldiers coming out to recuperate from the fighting in Gaza.
After handing over the car, Graucher hinted that this was just the beginning, saying, “We’ve only just begun.”
His special gesture generated many emotional responses across social media, as Emily continues to serve as an inspiration, offering strength to many in Israel and around the world.
