Operation Gideon’s Chariots Ongoing in Gaza

With the Israeli hostages still in Gaza and Hamas still standing, the IDF has issued an evacuation warning to residents of Gaza City and Jabaliya, urging them to move west and south for their safety. Intense military operations continue in northern Gaza.

The IDF is intensifying its operations in Jabaliya, northern Gaza Strip. Arabic-language IDF Spokesperson Lt. Col. Avichay Adraee issued a warning Monday to residents of Gaza City and nearby refugee camps: “The IDF is operating in your area with great force to destroy enemies and terror infrastructure — the operation will expand. For your safety, evacuate immediately west and south toward al-Mawasi.”

The statement added that the terrorist organization endangers civilian lives: “Hamas is harming you and bringing disaster upon you.”

Eliminating Terrorists and Explosives in Civilian Areas
Fighting forces, including the Givati Brigade combat team under Division 162, have been active since Sunday as part of Operation Gideon’s Chariots. The forces are operating deep inside Jabaliya, where terrorists have been eliminated, above- and below-ground infrastructure destroyed, and weapons caches found hidden in civilian structures.

In one operation, a quick identification of an explosives site led to an air force strike guided by the brigade’s fire direction — destroying the site. The IDF emphasized that Hamas is endangering civilians and causing them harm.

Security Cabinet Meeting
While combat continues, the security cabinet convened Sunday night at the Southern Command to discuss the continuation of the campaign in Gaza, as the objectives of Operation Gideon’s Chariots near completion. The meeting also addressed hostage deal negotiations mediated by Egypt and Qatar, where ministers were updated that there has been no significant progress.

Following the cabinet meeting, the IDF began intensified strikes in northern Gaza, with residents reporting loud explosions coming from the area.
