A new center dedicated to the wives of Israel Defense Forces soldiers has opened in Samaria, offering support, comfort, and a well-deserved break for women whose partners serve in the military. Named “Beit Eshet HaChayal” (Home for the Women of Valor), the facility is the first of its kind in Israel. It was launched as a collaborative effort between the Tzalash organization—which supports religious soldiers in the IDF, the Samaria Regional Council, and the Jewish community of Mexico.

The wellness hub, located in the Barkan Industrial Zone, is designed to recognize the often-overlooked contributions of the women whose lives are deeply affected by their husbands’ army service—whether in active duty or reserve roles.

A Place for Women to Recharge
The center offers a comprehensive range of services tailored to promote physical and emotional well-being, including: spa treatments, manicure and pedicure rooms, and a hair salon. Additionally, the spa menu includes massage therapy, a fully equipped gym, and personal and group emotional wellness sessions. Therapy and resilience-building workshops are hosted in partnership with the Samaria Resilience Center.

Led by Women Who Understand the Mission
The initiative is spearheaded by Reut Sharel, Naomi Atadgi, and Liat Diamond—all military wives themselves. “This lifestyle demands a special kind of support,” explained Diamond. “We’re not just talking about soldiers, but about entire families. Fatigue, burnout, and loneliness are daily realities for many of us. This space gives women a chance to recharge emotionally and spiritually.”

A Message of Recognition and Resilience
Samaria Regional Council Head Yossi Dagan praised the center’s establishment, calling it a tribute to the “heroism of the women behind the uniforms.”

“This house is a symbol of our support,” he said. “It’s a space for empowerment, renewal, and connection—a reminder to every soldier’s wife that we stand with you.” The center reflects a growing awareness of the emotional toll military life takes on families, and a shift toward offering more holistic support for Israel’s defense community.
