Former Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked visited Hostages Square in Tel Aviv yesterday (Tuesday) for the “Singing for Their Return” evening. Shaked shared in a story on her Instagram account that at the rally, she met Sigi Cohen, the mother of Eliya Cohen, who was kidnapped from the Nova Festival on October 7, and Sheli and Malki Shem Tov, the parents of kidnapped Omer Shem Tov, who was also taken from the festival.

“I Won’t Turn It Off Until Omer Comes Back”
Regarding the meeting, she recounted: “Last Hanukkah, I lit candles with Sheli and Malki Shem Tov, Omer’s parents, at their home. We hoped Omer would return soon. Sheli showed me then that the light in Omer’s room was on and told me, ‘I won’t turn it off until Omer comes back.’ A year has passed, and the light is still on.”
In another photo she posted, she captured three parents of kidnapped individuals and wrote: “The parents of the three kidnapped Omers simply hugging and hoping. Omer Natoura, Omer Shem Tov, Omer Wankert.”
