Israeli Cinema Day Brings Big Stories at a Small Price

Israeli Cinema Day will take place this year with dozens of blue-and-white films screened across the country, and tickets to each film costing just 10 shekels | This year’s event is dedicated to the memory of actor and director Ze'ev Revach

Blue-and-white on the big screen: Israeli Cinema Day will be held on Wednesday, March 26, with tickets to every film costing just 10 shekels. Throughout the day, dozens of Israeli films will be shown nationwide. This year, the event will be held in tribute to beloved actor and creator Ze’ev Revach z”l, who passed away about two months ago.

A day with special meaning
“Israeli Cinema Day carries special significance this year with the tribute to Ze’ev Revach z”l,” said Minister of Culture and Sport Miki Zohar. “Revach gave us unforgettable moments, and his legacy will continue to live at the heart of Israeli culture. I invite everyone to celebrate our local creativity and come out to the cinemas.”
The initiative is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Sport and will be fully funded by the government.

“Especially in these times, Israeli Cinema Day is an opportunity to celebrate our film industry and honor our incredible creators,” Zohar added. “I encourage everyone to come to the theaters and support Israeli cinema, which is a true source of national pride.”

From morning until theaters close
Dozens of Israeli films will be screened throughout the day in movie theaters, cinematheques, and cultural centers around the country. Some movies will even be shown in exclusive one-time premieres. As noted, all tickets will cost just 10 shekels, and screenings will take place from the morning hours until closing.
