Following several hours of pursuit, the terrorist who carried out the shooting attack yesterday at the Reihan Crossing was arrested this morning (Thursday), the IDF Spokesperson confirmed.

The shooting occurred when a terrorist opened fire from a passing vehicle at an IDF unit operating near the security fence during a mission in the area. Forces from the IDF, the Shin Bet, and the Israel Police’s Gideonim unit launched a manhunt, and overnight located and arrested the terrorist in the village of Bartaa.

During the operation, precise intelligence provided by the Shin Bet led the forces to surround the suspect’s home—until he eventually turned himself in.
