New Immigrants Land in Israel in Special Operation
Israel welcomed today (Wednesday) 110 new immigrants who arrived on a special flight as part of a coordinated operation by the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration, the Jewish Agency, and the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. The flight, which had been pre-scheduled, was made possible thanks to the Minister’s intervention with the authorities who approved the plane’s landing despite the complex security situation.
Despite the War
The immigrants came from European countries such as France, the UK, Spain, and the Netherlands. They will be absorbed in various cities across Israel, including Netanya, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Petah Tikva. Among the newcomers are families with children, young adults planning to enlist in the IDF, and lone immigrants seeking to begin a new life in the Land of Israel. This is another step by the Jewish people, continuing aliyah (immigration to Israel) even under rocket attacks and challenging security conditions.

Aliyah From 60 Countries
Since the outbreak of the war with Iran and the escalation in the security situation, over 45,000 immigrants from around 60 countries worldwide have made aliyah to Israel. About a third of them are under the age of 35 and are being integrated through dedicated programs designed to support their successful absorption into Israeli society and the economy.

Strengthening the Nation
Minister of Aliyah and Integration, Ofir Sofer, stated that “Aliyah at this time symbolizes the victory of the State of Israel” and added that the new immigrants are strengthening the country during this period. He emphasized that the main task is to absorb the immigrants, provide them with the necessary support, and ensure their successful integration into the country, through assistance programs in employment, housing, and education.
Chairman of the Jewish Agency, Maj. Gen. (res.) Doron Almog, praised the immigrants for their decision to make aliyah specifically in these difficult days and stressed that each immigrant who arrives is “a beacon of hope.” Yael Eckstein, President of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, added that this is “a resounding answer to all those who seek to harm us” and promised that the organization will continue to support the immigrants throughout the absorption process.
