Lebanese media reported this morning (Monday) that an Israeli Air Force aircraft struck a vehicle in the area of the village of Taybeh in southern Lebanon. According to the reports, at least one terrorist was likely killed in the strike.

Earlier this week, the IDF conducted an airstrike in the Sidon area and eliminated Hassan Farhat, the commander of Hamas’s western sector in Lebanon. Farhat was considered responsible for multiple terror operations against Israel, including the rocket attack on Safed on February 14. That attack resulted in the death of Staff Sergeant Omer Sarah Benjo z”l and injuries to several other soldiers.
The IDF emphasized that Farhat continued engaging in significant terror activity after that incident and was considered a direct threat to the safety of Israeli civilians. “The IDF will continue operating against Hamas terrorists wherever they are,” the military said in a statement.
