Joy Meets Heartbreak, as Sister of Captive Hostage Gets Married

Under the shadow of longing: Emuna Or, sister to hostage Avinatan Or, married the love of her life. At the wedding, a special prayer was dedicated to the return of Avinatan, held by Hamas for 675 days and counting.

Emuna Or is the younger sister of hostage Avinatan Or, forcibly abductex from the Nova Music Festival on October 7. Yesterday (Monday)  she married her fiancé, Mordechai Meir Noam Schreiber, in an emotional ceremony filled with warmth and love.

“Praying for Your Return”
During the event, a special prayer was recited for Avinatan’s return, along with the return of all remaining hostages still in captivity: “We want to tell Avinatan that we are lovesick for you — all of the people of Israel. Everywhere, people see your picture, everywhere they mention you. We are praying for your return,” was said under the wedding canopy.

675 Days in Captivity
Avinatan, who was kidnapped at the age of 30 along with his partner Noa Argamani from the Nova music festival, remains in captivity after she was rescued in a daring operation named Arnon, in memory of Chief Inspector Arnon Zamora, who fell in the rescue battle. During Operation Arnon, Almog Meir Jan, Andrey Kozlov, and Shlomi Ziv were also freed.

Avinatan Or has now been held by Hamas for 675 days.
