Defense Minister Israel Katz visited Rafael Advanced Defense Systems today (Sunday) and praised Israel’s technological strength in both defense and offensive capabilities. “I came to witness the remarkable development and production of what I see as the defensive shield of the State of Israel against enemies who have sworn to destroy us,” declared the minister.
During the visit, Katz was introduced to Rafael’s latest cutting-edge innovations, including defense systems such as “Iron Dome,” “David’s Sling,” and the “Iron Beam” laser system, which is expected to be delivered to the defense establishment later this year.

“We Will Not Reveal Everything to Our Enemies”
Katz emphasized the importance of the new laser system, which will allow Israel to intercept various threats, including UAVs, calling it “the weapon of the future.” He added that Israel will continue to develop and upgrade its capabilities: “We will not expose all that we have to our enemies, but they should know and fully understand: we have many means to deliver a decisive blow if they dare to raise a hand against the State of Israel again – that hand will be severed.”

Rafael Chairman Dr. Yuval Steinitz welcomed the visit and stated that the company continues to lead global defense innovation: “We have accomplished wonders so far, and we aim to double and triple our achievements.” Rafael CEO Yoav Turgeman echoed these sentiments, highlighting the company’s contribution to national security, particularly during Operation “Northern Arrows” and the “Swords of Iron” war. “Rafael played a crucial role in the campaign, and we are constantly working to ensure our qualitative edge continues to grow,” he said.
