A major development for patients suffering from kidney failure and undergoing dialysis treatments: a new Israeli study has found that the use of next-generation dialysis membranes leads to a marked improvement in patients’ quality of life and a significant reduction in inflammation levels.
The study earned Dr. Lena Rothschild of Barzilai Medical Center an award for best research abstract at the International Nephrology Conference—placing Israel at the forefront of global research in the field.

Reducing Medical Complications
Dr. Naomi Levin, Head of the Nephrology and Hypertension Division at Barzilai Medical Center, emphasized the significance of the study, stating: “It demonstrates how treatment with innovative membranes can improve patients’ symptoms and quality of life, reduce complications, and enhance their overall health.”
