A Coordinated Antisemitic Attack in Paris
A serious incident occurred this morning (Saturday) in France involving a coordinated antisemitic attack against four Jewish sites in Paris, including the Holocaust Museum, two synagogues (“Agoudas Hakehilos” and Tournelles), and the Jewish restaurant “Chez Marianne” in the Marais district.

According to reports, the buildings were sprayed with green paint and deliberately damaged in a simultaneous and coordinated manner. The events sparked immediate outrage within the Jewish community in both France and Israel.

President of Israel: “Standing With Them in This Difficult Time — Personally”
President Isaac Herzog strongly condemned the vandalism and revealed a surprising personal connection: one of the synagogues that was desecrated was founded by his great-grandfather, Rabbi Yoel Herzog zatzal (may the righteous memory be a blessing).

“I am appalled by these attacks,” said the president. “This is personal to me.”

Herzog spoke with the leadership of CRIF — the umbrella organization of Jewish institutions in France — and expressed full support. He stated in the conversation that he “stands with them in this difficult time” and called on the French authorities to act “quickly and decisively” to identify and prosecute the attackers and to provide comprehensive protection for the entire Jewish community.

Israeli Embassy in Paris: “We Will Not Ignore Dangerous Political Rhetoric”
The Israeli Embassy in France also issued an official condemnation, stating: “We are shocked by the coordinated antisemitic attack. We trust the French authorities to identify those responsible and bring them to justice.”

The statement also hinted at a possible link between the attack and recent public discourse about Israel: “One cannot ignore the inciting rhetoric against the State of Israel by public figures in France. Words create reality — and the consequences are being felt in Jewish communities around the world.”

“Friends Under Attack — Deserve Solidarity”
In closing, the Embassy called for international cooperation in the fight against antisemitism and terrorism: “Israel faces brutal terrorism and now, more than ever, needs its friends around the world to help combat it.”
