Just a day after former U.S. President Donald Trump announced America’s withdrawal from the UNHRC, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar has followed suit, declaring Israel’s exit from the controversial body.
The move comes amid longstanding criticism of the UNHRC’s bias against Israel, with Israeli leaders arguing that the council disproportionately targets the Jewish state while ignoring severe human rights violations elsewhere.

Sa’ar’s decision underscores Israel’s stance that the council has failed in its mission to uphold universal human rights and has instead become a platform for anti-Israel rhetoric.
