The relative quiet of Tuesday morning across Judea and Samaria was disrupted by coordinated raids led by Border Police forces in the region, along with the IDF, ISA (Shin Bet), Civil Administration, and the Shai District Police. Their target: businesses operating in money exchange suspected of funneling funds to terror networks. Behind closed doors and blinking computer screens, the forces were focused on one thing—money used to finance terrorism.

Approximately 7 Million Shekels
With precise intelligence provided by Central Command, the Border Police Intelligence Division in Judea and Samaria, and the Shin Bet, several locations were identified where funds were being transferred for terrorist purposes. During the raids, the forces seized approximately 7 million shekels intended for terror operations. The confiscated assets included hundreds of thousands of new Israeli shekels, tens of thousands of U.S. dollars, thousands of euros, tens of thousands of Jordanian dinars, other foreign currencies, and gold—together valued at roughly 6.2 million shekels.

In addition, 30 suspects were arrested, and a large quantity of equipment was confiscated, including advanced computer hardware, office supplies, cash and coin counting machines, safes, and various types of weapons.

30 Million Shekels Targeted for Terror
Since the start of the war, Israeli security forces have seized around 30 million shekels in Judea and Samaria that were intended to support terrorism. The arrested individuals and the evidence gathered during the raids have been transferred to the Border Police Investigations Division in Judea and Samaria for further investigation.

The Heart of Terror Financing
Commander of the Border Police in Judea and Samaria, Deputy Commissioner Niso Guetta, commented on the operation against money-changing businesses linked to terror funding:
“Border Police officers in Judea and Samaria act decisively and in close coordination with all branches of the security establishment to strike at the heart of terror financing. From the early hours of the morning, our forces raided numerous businesses throughout the Judea and Samaria area and seized vast sums of money designated for terrorism,” he said.

Anywhere, Anytime, By Any Means
“Raids like these are a critical component of our comprehensive efforts to dismantle terror infrastructure in Judea and Samaria,” Guetta added. “They complement the nightly counterterrorism activities we conduct—arresting wanted individuals, searching for weapons, and carrying out a variety of tactical operations.”

“We will investigate the suspects through the Regional Investigations and Intelligence Division and bring them to justice. We will continue to take a firm stand against anyone involved in the transfer of funds for terror purposes—anywhere, anytime, by any means,” Guetta concluded.
