In the past 24 hours, officers from the Judea and Samaria District Police, together with IDF and Border Police forces, conducted a wide-ranging operation across the Judea and Samaria region. The operation led to the arrest of criminal cells, the seizure of illegal weapons, and significant traffic enforcement actions.
Weapons, Stolen Vehicles, and Criminal Networks
As part of the offensive initiative “Stopping at Red,” led by Judea and Samaria District Commander Commissioner Moshe Pinchi, police officers carried out a series of coordinated operations with IDF and Border Police units throughout the region.
In Hebron, police seized a 9mm pistol, 50 pistol bullets, shotgun cartridges, and 6 hunting rounds. Two suspects were arrested. In Beit Awwa, a Carlo-style submachine gun and a compatible magazine were found. A local resident was taken into custody.

In the village of Qabalan, four suspects were arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft. Burglary tools and a towing cable were found in their possession. In a separate incident near Rantis, a suspect was arrested with a stolen vehicle and transferred for further processing to the Holon police station in the Tel Aviv District. In another operation, a resident of Idhna — a key target in property crime investigations — was arrested and transferred to the Border Police’s Southern District Investigations Unit for continued handling.

Traffic Enforcement: Impoundments, Suspensions, and Fines
At the same time, officers from the Judea Subdistrict conducted a traffic enforcement campaign in the Etzion and Hebron areas. As a result, six driver’s licenses were suspended, ten vehicles were impounded, and sixteen citations were issued for weight violations. Among the cases, a truck was found to be overloaded by 62% and was taken off the road; its driver’s license was revoked. Another driver was caught driving while disqualified for the second time, with additional violations including vehicle overweight and an invalid license — he was sent to Ofer Prison.
The Judea and Samaria District Police stated: “With determination and in close cooperation with all branches of the security forces, we continue our fight against serious crime, the seizure of illegal weapons, and the strengthening of security for the residents of Judea and Samaria.”
