Overnight (Friday), special forces from the IDF’s elite Duvdevan unit, under Shin Bet guidance, carried out an operation in the village of Qabatiya, in the Menashe Brigade sector, to capture accomplices involved in the deadly terrorist attack in Funduq, where three Israeli civilians were murdered on January 6, 2025.
During the operation, the fighters surrounded a house where the two accomplices were hiding. After being called to surrender, the suspects turned themselves in. A search of the house uncovered two handguns and additional weapons.
The arrests were carried out alongside a separate operation by the Shin Bet and Yamam, which led to the capture of the third terrorist involved in the attack. According to security sources, the arrested accomplices provided vital intelligence that led to the terrorist’s location and elimination inside a cave where he had been hiding.
The defense establishment stressed that Duvdevan fighters, along with other security forces, will continue operating extensively to dismantle terrorist infrastructure throughout Judea and Samaria, in order to safeguard the citizens of the State of Israel.
