The Israeli Air Force carried out a wide-scale wave of strikes Thursday morning targeting Hezbollah terror sites in southern Lebanon. According to Lebanese reports, more than 20 airstrikes were conducted in the areas of the Beaufort Ridge, Nabatieh, and Sidon. Israeli fighter jets were also seen flying over Beirut.
Major Underground Project Destroyed
Shortly after the operation, the IDF confirmed that one of the primary strikes took place in the Beaufort Ridge region, where a site used to manage Hezbollah’s firepower array was targeted. The attack hit operatives, weapons systems, and shafts that were part of a major underground infrastructure project.
As a result of the strike, the site was rendered inoperable and, according to the IDF, constituted a blatant violation of understandings between Israel and Lebanon.

Senior Figures Eliminated
In recent days, the IDF has eliminated several senior operatives involved in terror activities in the Lebanese arena: Khaled Ahmad Ahmad, responsible for operations of Hamas’s Western Brigade in Lebanon, was killed in an airstrike near Sidon. Ahmad was involved in smuggling weapons and planning attacks against Israel.
Another high-profile target, Adnan Muhammad Sadek Harb, who commanded the logistics support division of Hezbollah’s Badr Unit, was killed in a strike in the Nabatieh area. Harb had been restoring the organization’s combat capabilities and facilitating weapons transfers between Hezbollah units, in violation of understandings between Israel and Lebanon.
IDF: “We Will Eliminate Every Threat”
The IDF continues its airstrike operations in response to growing security threats from the north. An IDF spokesperson emphasized that Israel will act to remove any threat to the country and its citizens, noting that current operations focus on preventing attacks from terrorist organizations operating in Lebanon.
